Is there any need for time delay for OE

Hello,

We are using TXS0104ED in our design. We wanted to know, if there is any need to provide a time delay of say 1us for the the outputs of the translator to be active after power ON.

For instance, VCCA = 1.8V and VCCB=3.3V. Then, at the time of power on, should we include an RC circuit to introduce a time delay (with one end of R tied to 1.8V) before the outputs get enabled for their operation.

Request your kind support at the earliest.

Thanks and Regards,

Vinay

  • The device should become operational close to 200ns after power on. However, the 'one-shot' edge acceleration circuitry takes about 1us to charge after being enabled/powered.

I do not understand what you mean by introducing a time delay using an RC circuit. Without further understanding, my concern is that such a circuit would hurt device performance when under operation.

  • It is OK to tie OE directly to VCCA, although there will be the delay before the IOs are fully operational.
