Hi,

there is a clarification required on the data rates mentioned in the data sheet of the mentioned part TXB0108DQSR . Our requirement is to make an 8 bit level translator between 1.8V logic to 3.3V logic.

The VCCA (reference voltage ) is set as 1.8V. It is mentioned in the data sheet to have a capability of 60Mbps (max.) in the mentioned configuration. We would like to get a clear view on the below mentioned points

1) By data rates , do you mean the data rates of individual channels ( each channel of the 8 bit translation) OR does the data rate mentioned in the data sheet represent the net data rate of all the 8 channels together?

2) what is approx. tolerance in the mentioned data rates ?

1. This is per channel. Please note that 60 Mbps = 30 MHz.

2. There is no tolerance. 60 Mbps is the guaranteed worst-case limit over all temperatures. The typically achievable data rate might be higher.

If the individual signals are not actually bidirectional, you should use unidirectional (TXU0104/TXU0204/TXU0304) or direction-controlled (SN74AXC8T245, SN74AXC4T774) translators.
