LSF0204D: LSF0204DRUTR does it support I3C

Part Number: LSF0204D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCA39416, LSF0204

Hello, Team

we`d like to know if LSF0204DRUTR support I3C?

Thanks.

  • Maybe.

The LSF has open-drain outputs and requires pull-up resistors.

The pull-up resistors must be sized correctly for the desired signal frequency. The required pull-up current also depends on the capacitance of the system, so it cannot be predicted exactly.

All connected devices must be able to drive the current through the pull-up resistors. So if you have devices with weak outputs (often, these are low-voltage devices), then it might not be possible to use higher frequencies.

I3C uses up to 12.5 Mhz. The LSF0204 should be usable in most (but not all) situations. (For low-voltage I3C systems, there is the TCA39416.)
