The parts are SN74AUP1G126DCKR.

Are there any chances that the following condition will continue to damage the parts?

This is when the 4pin of the output terminal and the power supply (3.3V) different from the power supply used by the SN74AUP1G126 are shorted.

6.1 Absolute Maximum Ratings in the datasheet states that Io Continuous output current is Max.20mA.
I'm worried about the parts being damaged when trying to output a current of 20mA or more due to a short circuit with the power supply.

The short-circuit current is not specified. AUP has quite weak outputs, so it is possible that this current will not reach 20 mA, but there is no guarantee.

I have never measured the short-circuit current of AUP devices, and this application note is too old.
I would estimate that the short-circuit current of AUP devices is somewhere near 20 mA, so it will probably not fail immediately.

If you want to be sure, add a series resistor of 100 Ω to reduce the current to less than 20 mA.

AUP is the logic family. Devices in other families like the SN74LVC1G126 have a stronger output and will certainly be damaged by a short.
