TXS0104E: High Input Impedance Issue

Part Number: TXS0104E
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXU0202

Hello,

We were using the TXS0104E with a high impedance input.

The device seems to be pulling down on the input when shutoff. (more details below)

Your feedback to us at the time was:

"We would not typically recommend auto-bidirectional devices for applications that are not auto-bidirectional. Typical auto-bidirectional applications do not require the device to have a high drive strength on its’ own as the drivers will need to override the level shifter for auto-sensing i.e the drivers will need to be able to drive the line high/low. For your unidirectional GPIO application, TXU0202 would be more suitable.

To further help debug your existing concerns, do you have waveforms clarifying the concern?

By pulling down, are you referring to the VOH levels? If so, are there any pull-downs used with the TXS I/O <50Kohms? Note that some drivers tend to have internal pull-ups / pull-downs as well, thanks."

Below is our updated schematic. Does this seem like it should fix the issue?

Thank you, Keith
