SN74AXC8T245: Is the pull-up resistor (10K) mandatory for the DIR control pins?

Part Number: SN74AXC8T245

Hello TI Experts,

In my application, SN74AXC8T245 is planned to be configured into the mode highlighted below. VCCA is connected to 1.8V and VCCB to 3.3V. My proposal is that the OE is tied to GND directly, both DIR1 and DIR2 are tied to VCCA directly. The schematic is attached for your reference.

Section 9.2 of SN74AXC8T245 datasheet provides a typical application of this device and DIR1 is connected to VCCA(0.7V) via a 10K resistor.

Question: In my design, should DIR1 and DIR2 pins be routed to a 10K resistor, respectively before being tied to VCCA?

Thanks.
