Hi Expert,

My customer use TXS0102-Q1 as IIC translating.

Customet use txs0102 as LS for I2c between 3V3 and 1V8 domain.

They found the Vol is quite high, even they remove external 4.7K ohm pull up.

Did our product line meet similar problem from customer before? Any solution for this？

The TXS is a passive switch. Any I²C device that tries to pull the signal low must be able to sink the current through all pull-up resistors (on both sides), including the two internal 10 kΩ ones.

In theory, the TXS should work without any external pull-up resistors.

If that is not enough, replace it with a level-shifting I²C buffer like the TCA9800/1/2/3.

I noticed that there is a PCA9306 in TI. will such PCA9306 also can a action as buffer similar like TCA9517?

No; the PCA9306/LSF0102 is a passive switch (like the TXS, but without internal pull-up resistors or edge accelerators).
