We require current driving capacity of 20mA for optical transmitters. These transmitter are opetated at 20 kHz. We selected the part no: sn74abt541b-q1.

In the datasheet, recommended operating conditions, input transition rise/fall time in ns/V is not mentioned. Is this device having schmitt trigger inputs.

What is the Vhys = 100 mV in recommended opeating coditions.

The Advanced BiCMOS Technology Characterization Information document explains the input hysteresis on p. 7. The hysteresis is not large enough for a 'real' Schmitt trigger; p. 10 says that "ABT devices are recommended to have input edge rates faster than 5 ns/V for standard parts, and 10 ns/V for the Widebus series of products when the outputs are enabled."

Anyway, for 20 mA, you could use LVC devices like SN74LVC1G17-Q1, SN74LVC2G17-Q1, or SN74LVC125A-Q1. What are the input and supply voltages, and how many channels do you need?

Thank you for the answer. Supply voltage and input voltages are 5V. We are searching for octal buffers, if not avilable 4 channels/IC is also OK for us. Inputs and outputs are oppsite side are preferable.

If you do not need automotive qualification, use the CD74AC541.

With automotive, there also is the SN74ACT244-Q1; compared to the SN74ABT541B-Q1, it's cheaper and uses less power.

We need current driver with schmitt trigger inputs. If, schmitt trigger inputs current drivers not available, we will use schmitt trigger IC before current driver. Please suggest any octal schmitt trigger IC with inputs and Vcc 5V.
