TDA4vMid: Is it possible to know the fault information of VPAC?

What kind of fault information are you looking for ? Are you planning run BIST to determine fault? BIST is definitely available as part of SDL and it can integrated in SBL to run BIST at init time..

I wonder if there are cases where errors occur in functions such as LDC, GLBCE, and DPC. I guess an example would be when an image gets corrupted during image processing.
Is there a document outlining the above defect information?

Hi Jewin,

Yes, we can register error callback for many error interrupts for many of these blocks, but these may not be the only sources for the image corruption. Lets say if register configuration is incorrect, then image can get corrupted, but there may not be error interrupt for it.. Driver does error check for many of them..

First of all, thank you for your response. I am a researcher from the Autonomous Driving Division of Hyundai Motor Company.

While reading the documentation, I came across golden Frame Testing.
As I understood it, you take a sample image and run it through the image pipeline and see if a normal image comes out.
Is my understanding correct?
If so, what are the kinds of bad images that can come out of H3A, LDC, VISS inside these VPACs?(ex. fault in the Row Addressing, color error etc.) 
If you have sample images of bad image processing, please share.

Hi Jewin,

Yes, that's correct understanding. For golden frame testing, please make sure to set golden configuration, reference input image and then check the output with reference output image. I am not sure what kind of bad image that can come out. That entirely depends on the kind of failure in HW.

Does this mean that Golden Frame can only test the entire logic of the VPAC? Can Golden Frame also find errors in the subsystem?

Not an Safety expert, VPAC has 4 independent modules and golden frame testing can find errors in these modules..
