Two questions here for VSSOP package(DGS).

1. We're confused about the operating temp in the d/s. In the device information, it says SN74xx is only specified as 85degree. but in the package information, it says 125degree for SN74HCT244DGSR.

Could you help to clarify which one is correct! and also, is there p2p compatible with this one?

2. May i know what's the major difference between AHCT and HCT family? I saw the ESD rating of AHCT is better, what else?

Hi Brian,

For some devices we increase the temp range after extra validation, however, I will have to check with our product team to be sure.

As for AHCT vs HCT: AHCT will be a faster family compared to HCT.

Hey Brian,

I did get confirmation. The DGS package was released later compared to others so we were able to rate at 125C. If other packages were to be changed higher, a PCN would have to be made.
