[FAQ] Why is there no PSpice model for a Monostable Multivibrator device?

SN74LVC1G123 has a model in "PSPICE for TI" but there isn´t a model for SN74LV221A

Hi,

I was wondering why there is a model of the SN74LVC1G123 / SN74LV123A but none of the SN74LV221A?
I found this thread "e2e.ti.com/.../faq-why-is-there-no-pspice-model-for-a-monostable-multivibrator-device"

But it doesn´t explain why there is a model for the 123 and not for the 221.
It would be nice to simulate a circuit with a not retriggerable IC.

    Hi,

    The model for the LV123 is not actually a completely accurate model. I believe this was more of a "test" to see how the model would perform. As you can see from the FAQ, an accurate model is not feasible for MMVs. This is why we do not create models for other MMVs.
