LSF0108: A-side pullup resistor and high cap loading

Part Number: LSF0108

The LSF0108 datasheet section 9.2.4 talks about adding a pullup resistor for operation when Vref_B is less than Vref_A + 0.8V.  Please verify the additional pull up resistor is for the B to A direction and would not be required if the translator is used in the A to B direction only.

Also, is there a translator like this (configurable and bidirectional) but with faster edges?  I have an application with high capacitive loading and the edges look slow in simulation.

Thank you.

  • Hey George,

Could you confirm what signals are being interfaced in between the level translator? It seems that you are using this device in between a fixed-directional interface; the LSF series devices would not be the most optimal solution for this. For 8-ch configurable (direction controlled) translators, please see the AVC/AXC and LVC/LXC family devices.

This FAQ also provides a list of devices that can be used depending on the interface. Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Regards,

    Jack
