SN74LVC1G08: Marking question for SN74LVC1G08DBVRE4

Part Number: SN74LVC1G08

Hi TI Team,

Thank you for your support.

The customer purchased SN74LVC1G08DBVRE4.

But he thinks he got wrong item.

Reason is marking information on Datasheet is different.

But Label is TI manufacture label stated SN74LVC1G08DBVRE4.


Marking is supposed to C08 or C08P SN74LVC1G08DBVRE4.
But it is  C08F which is  SN74LVC1G08DBVR or  SN74LVC1G08DBVT

This is what he recived.

Those are basically same But,

I believe Difference between suffix E4 is NIPDAU finish But not include SN(Tin) material.

SN74LVC1G08DBVR  or  SN74LVC1G08DBVT is contains Tin(Sn).
But ,SN74LVC1G08DBVRE4 is not. And that's why he ordered SN74LVC1G08DBVRE4.

*Are these parts mixed? or Can you figured out SN74LVC1G08DBVRE4 or not from the picture marking?

    Hi Takashi-san,

    I checked the part marking, and while it seems it is not a G4 device, it is guaranteed to be NIPDAU finish. SN finish only has a part marking of CO8J.

    So, SN74LVC1G08DBVRE4 wasn't SN finish.

    But SN74LVC1G08DBVR and  SN74LVC1G08DBVT are.

    So this parts marking is NIPDAU finish which is not included SN,right?

    If So, it seems like right marking for E4 and also G4, isn't it?

    According to the datasheet, SN finish is SN74LVC1G08DBVR and SN74LVC1G08DBVT, though.

    I just want to make sure.

    Is that right part?

    Hi Takashi-san,

    It does not show based on public forums, but through our internal database we can track the specific part markings. SN finish is guaranteed to only have a marking of CO8J. 

    I talked to a member of our team and he said a potential reason for the C08F marking is that TI can relabel NIPDAU devices to G4/E4 as there is no functional difference or fabrication difference in current time. The only guarantee of ordering G4/E4 is to get non SN finish.

    The devices your customer received is guaranteed to be NIPDAU so you should have no worry.
