SN74AHCT138Q-Q1: SN74AHCT138Q-Q1

Part Number: SN74AHCT138Q-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74HCS138-Q1

Hi,

I am using SN74AHCT138QDRQ1 (3*8 line demux) for one of my application. In that absolute max rating Vcc showing -0.5V to 7V and recommended operating condition Vcc is 4.5V to 5.5V only. I have designed my power supply with 3.6Vdc output. So I want to operate it on 3.6Vcc.

Kindly share the adverse effect (in terms of reliability etc) if any.

Regards

Munesh Tripathi

  • The "T" indicates a device with TTL-compatible inputs, and TTL runs only at 5 V.

When you go outside the recommended operating conditions, neither the electrical characteristics nor correct operation are guaranteed. Use the SN74HCS138-Q1 instead.
