SN74LVTH16245A: The difference between SN74LVTH16425 and SN74LVTH125

Part Number: SN74LVTH16245A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVTH125

Hi all,

I would like to know the difference between SN74LVTH16425 and SN74LVTH125.

This is the waveform during short-circuit test for each device.

Ch1:output voltage

Ch4:output current

SN74LVTH16245ADGGR

When do the short-circuit test, output current flows for a moment and stops.

SN74LVTH125PWR

When do the short-circuit test,  270~350mA current continues to flow.

They seemto behave differently, but they are the same LVTH family.

Could you please advise why the behavior is different?

I would appreciate it if you could tell me the difference.

Best Regards,

Ryusuke

  • The current that flows when shorting an output exceeds the absolute maximum ratings and is likely to damage the device. The behaviour under these circumstances cannot be guaranteed.

I cannot tell you what happened in your tests without knowing the schematic and the exact test conditions. And it is possible that earlier tests already damaged the device.
