TXB0104-Q1: TXB0104-Q1 & I2S terminal resistor

Part Number: TXB0104-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXU0304-Q1

TXB0104-Q1 is used for I2S level conversion in my projiect, 1.8V to 3.3V;

How to place the terminal resistor  on the original I2S signal?

Should it be placed near the SOC end or near TXB0104-Q1?  Option-1 or  Option-2?

Thanks!

  • In theory, each trace should have a source termination resistor near the driving device, so you need eight resistors. For short traces, termination is not needed. (As a rule of thumb, a trace is short if its length, in inches, is less than two times the rise time of the signal, in nanoseconds.)

    You have unidirectional signals, so a unidirectional translator like the TXU0304-Q1 would work much better.
