SN74HCS08: the spec Δt/Δv is unlimited

Hi team,

My customer is using our SN74HCS08.

And they find in the datasheet the spec Δt/Δv is unlimited.

Could you please kindly help check why is it unlimited and if we have a specific number for this spec?

Customer want to use the device to transfer 5ns pulse.

Could you please help check if our device can do that?

This device has Schmitt-trigger inputs, so there is indeed no Δt/Δv limit.

5 ns corresponds to 200 Mbps. HCS devices support only up to 130 Mbps (with a 6 V supply).

What is the supply voltage?

They are using 5V

At 5 V, the fastest logic family is LVC, so use the SN74LVC1G08. (If you need Schmitt-trigger inputs, use the SN74LVC1G97.)
