Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXS0108E
Hello Team,
We are planning to use the level translator TXS0108E for one of our applications.
The low voltage side is a 1.8V logic level and the high voltage side is a 3.3V logic side.
The signals are some IO pins so we need bidirectional level shifters.
I have seen some level shifters with direction control and some others with auto direction detection.
If we have auto direction detection, we would we need the direction control level shifters?
In SPI/I2C we cannot use direction control level shifters.
Also, we have some level shifters available using passive devices like MOSFET and resistors.
What is the advantage of using a dedicated level shifter IC over these passive devices?.
