TXB0108 vs TXS0108 vs SN74AVC8T245 vs MAXIM MAX3002

We are currently using the MAX3002 and experienced some data losses, most probably due to the input drive strength needed is far too high. The FPGA is only able to provide somewhat about 6 to 10mA while the MAX3002 requires 30mA. We have met with success using the SN74AVC IC but space constraints prohibit us from re-using it. We were wondering how the TXB or TXS would suit us in our application. Basically voltage translation (1.5V to 2.8V) is needed for McBSP communication lines between an OMAP and FPGA.
