LSF0204: Pass transistor current

Part Number: LSF0204

Hi,

I have some questions about LSF0204 level shifter.

In datasheet, recommended pass transistor current is 64mA.

And, pull-up resistor should limit the current through the pass transistor when it is in the ON state to about 15mA.

Does it mean ON state pass transistor current is 15mA(typ) and 64mA(max) ?

  • The LSF would be able to pass a current of 64 mA. But the resulting voltage levels would probably be too high for the other devices in your circuit.

15 mA is not a fixed limit; it depends on how much drive strength your devices have, and what speed you need.

  • Hello Hong,

As Clemens mentioned, 15 mA is not a fixed limit or typical. Current can pass through the transistor up to 64 mA. Higher current will increase the speed, but it will also increase your VOH.

    Regards,

    Josh
