We are using 'SN74HC540PWT' in one of our design. We are not using all the 8 inputs (A1-A8) of the IC. As per the datasheet on page no. 4, it is mentioned that unused input pins should be connected to VCC or GND. Currently we are using 16K pull-up resistors to the unused pins. Please verify if 16K pull up resistors are enough or we need to change the pull-up resistors value.
