SN74LXC2T45: SN74LXC2T45

Part Number: SN74LXC2T45
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LXC1T45

Good morning

Can you kindly suggest the Level shifter for the below mentioned Requirements

  • Output current – 32mA max
  • Non-isolation
  • Communication Procedure - Start-stop synchronous (Asynchronous)
  • Communication speed - 38.4kbps
  • How to Transmit - Full duplex
  • Date length – 8bit
  • Stop bit length – 1bit
  • Parity - No parity
  • Transmission Code – binary
  • Error detecting - Framing, Overrun
  • Communication Cycle – 6ms
  • Output current – 32mA max

Thanks, and Regards

Nithya N

  • At what voltages?

Where does the 32 mA requirement come from? I'd guess that the actual current in your application is much lower.

  • Hi Clemens

Voltage which supports 3V3 (Nominal) as Vcc1 and 5V (nominal) as Vcc2

the 32mA is the maximum output current required to make the inverter side to be stable

This application is designed as mentioned below:

MCU to Level shifter (supports for UART applications) to the Inverter

  • The SN74LXC2T45 is the only two-channel device that supports this output current.

But both channels go into the same direction. If you need one channel in each direction, use 2× SN74LXC1T45.
