SN74LVC1G123: Turn-off time of Vcc, when large Cext is connected

Part Number: SN74LVC1G123
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LV123A,

Tool/software:

Hello team,

On the datasheet of SN74LV123A, the section 10.2.1.1 describes that turn-off time of Vcc must be cared, because of discharge from pin2 or 4.

On the otherhands, datasheet of SN74LVC1G123 doesn't mention about the turn-off time of Vcc.
Can I ignore this turn-off time consideration when using SN74LVC1G123?

Best Regards,
Kei Kuwahara

  • I can find this text in both SN74LV123A and SN74AHC123 datasheets, but the pin numbers are wrong, the 30 mA limit is not specified anywhere else, and I'm not even sure  This sounds like a paragraph copied from some other device.

I do not know whether pins 7/15 (?) are considered inputs or full outputs (the clear function would be an open-drain output) and therefore have protection diodes. All LV-A/AHC/LVC inputs are overvoltage tolerant (without diodes), so there should be no difference between these families.
