SN74HCS08-Q1: Low power consumption for hcs family

Part Number: SN74HCS08-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello experts,

As shown in datasets of hcs family, low power consumption, noise rejection, and supporters slow input are the characteristics of the family.

I can understood the latter two, but I am confused with the first one - low power consumption. When I compare hcs family with hc family,I couldn’t find big difference for Icc and Cpd which are important parameter for current consumption.

Does hcs have lower current consumption than hc even when input signal is high-speed and low-noise?

What kind of logic do you compare with hcs in the figure of page 1 of hcs datasets? If there is specific logic family you compared,I would like to know it.

 Thanks,

 Kento
