LSF0108: capacitor value on EN pin

Part Number: LSF0108

Tool/software:

Hi!

I'm not sure this is the correct place to ask this, but I'll go ahead anyways.

In the LSF0108 data sheet reference schematics, it is recommended to place a 200KOhm resistor and a 1uF capacitor on the EN input. Sometimes, however the 1uF is replaced with a 1mF capacitor, which seems like a mistake to me.
The 1 uF value is specifically recommended in the '9.2.1.1.2 Bias Circuitry' section of the data sheet, while the 1mF value is only seen in figure 9-5 'Single Supply Translation with 3.3 V Supply'.

Could someone confirm this if this is indeed correct, or a mistake in documentation?

Thanks!

  • If the "µ" symbol was generated with the "Symbol" font, and if information of what font to use got lost. then the symbol will be shown as "m". This is an error.

Please note that during power up, the capacitor must be charged through the resistor. If you cannot afford a few hundred milliseconds until the translator works, the you should use a smaller capacitor.
