SN74LVC8T245-Q1: Marking Code component SN74LVC8T245QPWRQ1

Part Number: SN74LVC8T245-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi lately I've found myself having some problems with this component SN74LVC8T245QPWRQ1.

The Marking Code is:
NH245Q

3CKG4: what does it mean?

The working one is:
NH245Q

41KG4

Do these two markings mean where they are produced?

Sorry for disturb.

Kind Regard

Mauro Barbieri

  • 3CK/41K are date and lot trace codes; G4 indicates "green" mold compound.

    Please describe your actual problem.

  • Practically the one dated 3CK has problems with functional testing compared to the one dated 41K which was the previous batch.

The output of Pin 19 with the 3CK batch turns out to have more resistance than the other.

  • Hi Mauro,

Could you help share images of the top markings?

This is most likely the lot trace code identifying 3C as a device assembled in 2023 December and 41 as a device from 2024 January.

Also, difference in resistance are not always a sign for failure. I suspect the inputs were floating when tested. If so, please tie all inputs to GND or to a known level and verify If functional problems continue to occur, please perform ABA swap while providing schematics and waveforms to help expand on the functional issue, thanks.

    Best Regards,

    Michael.
