Tool/software:

I want to connect my CC3230SF12RGKR MCU (3.3V GPIO) to my Cellular + GNSS modem (1.8V GPIO) via a single-level shifter. The cellular modem talks to the MCU via UART (8 lines). Two additional lines are required for GNSS NMEA, TX, and RX. Is there any cost-effective single-level shifter chip that can do the task? I want a single-level shifter that can translate for 10 GPIOs.

An UART does not have eight lines. Are there five UARTs? If not, what are those signals, and in which direction do they go?

UART lines: CTS, RTS, TXD, RXD, RING, DSR, DCD and DTR. by the way I need to level shifter for 11 GPIOs and not 10 GPIOs. the additional one pin is Modem reset pin!

Hi Pragash,

You may see the 16 channel SN74AVC16T245 device. All channels or 8 channels can be configured for 3.3 V to 1.8 V while the other 8 for 1.8 V to 3.3 V and leave all unused inputs tied to GND, thanks.
