We have a legacy PCB using 74LVTH162374ZRDR. We are struggling to find these parts.

I do see a source for 74LVTH162374GRDR, which looks pin compatible. Does this contain lead?

The datasheet shows:

FBGA – GRD

FBGA – ZRD (Pb-free)

Is there another footprint compatible alternative?

Even obsolete parts are an option.

We could make an interface board to a newer device if we can add balls to it.

Would the best alternative be the SN74LVTH16374DGGR?

The only authorized supplier for these obsolete devices is Rochester Electronics.

The 74LVTH162374GRDR is lead free.

All BGA packages for large flip-flops have been discontinued.

Hi David,

TI doesn't typically keep data like this for EOL parts. For cases like this, we highly recommend switching to a currently supported part.

Sorry, I was relying only on DigiKey.

The datasheet shows GQL and ZQL BGA packages. These packages were replaced with compatible GRD and ZRD because the old supplier suddenly discontinued them (and the datasheet was not updated). Later, the BGA devices were discontinued by TI.

The Zxx packages are lead free, the Gxx packages do contain lead.

There is no lead-free replacement for your PCB. You have to use devices with lead, or redesign the board.

We are investigating making an interface board. If we can add a BGA to its base, we can use SN74LVTH16374DGGR.

If not we will respin the PCB.
