What is the maximum frequency you can push through this device (SN74LVC1G07)?

  • This device has an open-drain output, so the speed of rising edges is limited by the pull-up resistor and the load capacitance.

    If you need a high output frequency, use a buffer with push/pull output like the SN74LVC1G34/17. For level shifting, use something like the TXU0101.

  • Thanks for you reply. Assuming load capacitance is non existing and having a pull up of 2.5k. What would be again the max frequency? I need an open drain/collector buffer

  • A CMOS input has a capacitance of < 10 pF; traces have a capacitance of roughly 1 pF/cm. R and C form a low-pass filter.
