TXV0106-Q1: Okay to short OEb input to GND?

Part Number: TXV0106-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello,

I'm planning to use the TXV0106-Q1 on a platform where I do not need the OEb pin and the default VCC Isolation feature is sufficient for my needs to keep the IO high-Z during power up. I was planning to short OEb to GND on my platform, but there's a note in Fig 8-6 that says "Keep OE high until VCCA and VCCB are powered up". Is there some other requirement for the part I am missing where I need to provide a control for OEb to hold it high during power up?

Thanks!

  • HI Harley,

Yes you can have OE tied to GND by default.

However, the concern would be for the outputs being active prior to supply pins being ramped up. This will not cause damage to device. The state of the I/Os can be high / low for a short time until the supplies are fully ramped up, thanks.

    Best Regards,

    Michael.
