Hi,

I'm looking into TXB0102. The datasheet says that, in order for a proper operation, IO driving the buffer must have min +/- 2mA current sink/source capabilities. I understand there is a 4K-ohm resistor in series. Could you please tell in what circumstance 1mA current can guarantee a reliable operation? I understand the resistance varies over different temperature and voltage. Looks like we have only 1mA of driving capability. Any comments is appreciated.

What is your VCC? I cannot guarantee it but with 1.8V it will certainly perform more reliably that with a 3.3V VCC.

Thanks Hattie. It's 3V. In this case, what's the temp range it should be to have a reliable operation with 1mA signal?

Have you considered using the TXS0102? This device doesn't have the same driver requirements.

What sort of signals? If they are single direction, there are even more translators I can recommend.
