SN74HC00: SN74HC00N 2 Different lot codes, one displays correct and other doesn't.

Part Number: SN74HC00

Tool/software:

Hello,

A customer of ours is using SN74HC00N at the end of circuit that gives a display. we fit one that was purchased back in 2023 and this device's lot code is "28A75DKE4" and the display shows correctly. we fit a device purchased recently with lot code "3CA1LMG4" that doesn''t display correctly.

is there any advice with this and what should we be looking at?

thank you for your help in advance.

Kind regards

Matt

  • Recent devices have an entirely new die. The guaranteed datasheet limits have not changed, but it is possible that your circuit relies on characteristics beyond these limits.

Please show the schematic, and an oscilloscope trace of the input/output signals that you think are wrong.
