TPLD1201: Possible to emulate without ICS?

I understand the way of the temporary programming. But, in the EVM document sceu030, 

• TI recommends not connecting the board to an external system and to the TPLD-PROGRAM at the same time to avoid the risk of damage to the TPLD-PROGRAM and the external system.

When we use P2 on EVM, how can we emulate TPLD1201 without TPLD-PROGRAM and ICS?

We don't typically recommend this, as it risks damaging the programmer if done incorrectly. It may be possible, but I need more information about your system. What is the VCC of the MCU?

Dear Ian,

This is a assumed emulate and evaluation block:

After the bootup, MPU turn the SWs to upside, and send the emulate config to TPLD1201.

And then MPU turn the SWs to lower side. TPLD1201 wll begin running independently.

Of course we can prepare an other voltage source to send the config to TPLD.

Please imagine MPU as MSP0 series.

We will be able to try and evaluate TPLD with the above system more easily, I thought. But I understand TI can't support and have to use ICS and PC one by one. Thanks.
