SN74ALVC08: Cross talk

Part Number: SN74ALVC08
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74AUC08

Tool/software:

Hi,

I am using this quadruple, 2 input AND gate in a clock tree. The input will see an LVCMOS 1.8V Clk @ 30MHz, 15MHz, 1M, 2M and 500k. I am debating if cross-talk will be an issue and I should use single channel devices? Is there a cross talk spec for this device?

My clock tree also uses SN74ALVC04D (the hex inverter) from the same family. I have similar questions around cross talk for this device as well.

Multi channel devices can improve PCB real estate utilization. That is the reason I am interested in using them.

Thanks,

Prasoon

  • I have never heard of this being a problem. Routing traces too near each other would be more dangerous, and in any case the noise margin of digital inputs is quite high.

AUC family devices (e.g., SN74AUC08) are optimized for 1.8 V supplies.
