TXB0106: TXB Family Drive Strength Control

Part Number: TXB0106

Tool/software:

Hello, I am using the TXB0106 for a design. I see in the datasheet that pull-up resistors can be included to modify the drive strength of an output but if this is a push-pull part, what is the maximum drive strength this device can support on an output?

  • Hi Nate,

The output buffers of the TXB are dampened by the internal 4k series resistance, therefore it does not have ample drive strength on its own. This is intended by design to support the auto-directional capability. If your signals are not auto-direction per channel, please see the TXU-Type translators supporting higher drive strength instead.

    Regards,

    Jack
