Hi expert,

We are promoting TSSOP package of SN74HCS174-Q1 to customer (CosMX) and could you help to confirm if the performance difference between SOIC and TSSOP is only the Thermal performance (TSSOP is worse than SOIC)? Do you have some detailed test or compare to show the difference between TSSOP and SOIC? Thanks.

Hi Ryker,

What is the end application? In a size-constrained application, use TSSOP since it is a smaller package size. In general, SOIC will be slightly better since it is larger. However, the difference is not significant.

Hi Malcolm,

The end application is Auto BMS. They is interested in the smaller package TSSOP. So the only difference is the thermal performance? Do we have some test or compare about the difference? Thanks.
