Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXU0304-Q1
Tool/software:
I am working on a sytem that has a MCU that serves as an SPI bus master that operates at 5V. A different MCU on another module is one of the slaves on the bus and is a 3.3V part. This 3.3V part has fixed 470pF shunt capacitors on the SPI lines. The MOSI and MISO on the 3.3V are 5V tolerant parts but the SS and CLK pins are not.
Unfortunately I can only change what happens between the master and slave modules. I am trying to use the TXB0104-Q1 on an intermediate modules to translate the 5V lines down to 3.3V but the capacitors on the slave pins distort the signals (the datasheet says it can handle 70 pF, I thought I'd try it anyway). Removing the 470 pF from the slave pins allows the translator to work but this is not a valid solution for this situation.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how I could get this to work? A different level shifter? A different circuit? This is not my area of expertise.
