SN74VMEH22501A: What would be the impact of leaving the B port signals floating?

Part Number: SN74VMEH22501A

Tool/software:

Hi,

We are re-using an existing design that what using these Transceivers for VME bus. The re-use design is not actually using the buffers, but they are to remain in circuit and powered.

In the existing design, the B ports would have been terminated by standard VME 5V 330R pull up 470R pull down. (~2.94V for undriven.), HOWEVER, In the new design the preference is to leave then unconnected.

On the Data Sheet, the recommended Operating conditions only states that: "All unused control inputs of the device must be held at VCC or GND to ensure proper device operation."

Are we safe to assume that we can leave the B ports 'floating'?

Thanks in advance

Steve
