Hello,

I have inherited an existing design where the SN74LVC1G125 is powered by 2.5V, and Voltage high output sources up to 500uA. One critical requirement is Voh must be very close to Vcc.

In the data sheet (Page 6) Table 7.5 Electrical Characteristics Voh at Ioh 100uA is Vcc-0.1V. I assume that this specification is for adequate statistical coverage. Do you have a histogram that

shows the actual distribution?

Since my load is 500uA could this be repeated for this source current value?

Hi Harold,

We can only publicly share the tested values in the datasheet, which are what TI officially guarantees. That being said, I would expect that at that current, the VOH is negligibly different. How sensitive is your VOH line?

The 100 µA value is not accurate for supplies higher than 1.65 V. Computed from the 2.3-V V_OH, the worst-case voltage drop would be 25 mV; see [FAQ] What is the output voltage (VOH or VOL) when the output current is X or the supply voltage is Y?

Also consider the SN74AUC1G125, which has a similar drive strength at 2.5 V.

To increase the output voltage further, use multiple outputs in parallel, e.g., SN74LVC2G34, SN74LVC125A.
