SN74AXC4T774: Quad SPI 1.8V to 1.2V use case in Smartphone

Part Number: SN74AXC4T774
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXB0304, TXV0108

Tool/software:

Dear team,

I see in D/S sn74axc4t774 mentioned the max data rate is 320MHz with 3.3 V to 1.8V, but how about 1.8V to 1.2V?  for Quad SPI the max data rate will be 800Mbps right? if this part is not suitable, could you help to suggest another device for such application?

Market: PE, smartphone

Customer Lenovo (moto)

Application: Quad SPI

Thank you

CHarles

  • QSPI uses bidirectional signals, so this device would not work.

Check the TXB0304, with a limit of 100 Mbps at 1.2 V. Please note that the speed is specified per channel.

  • Hello Charles,

Can you provide additional details on the 800Mbps QSPI support needed? There is currently no device in our portfolio that can translate single ended logic signals at that speed (current fastest is TXV0108 as of today, and that would not support the auto bidirectional data signals of QSPI). For designing with the TXB, please refer to app note: www.ti.com/.../scea147.pdf

    Regards,

    Jack
