TXS0104E: TXS0104E low level is not near to 0V

Part Number: TXS0104E
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCA9800

Tool/software:

Hi team,

Customer has used TXS0104E to transfer I2C signal, but has found that the low level is not near 0V. Is there any clamp voltage in the internal leading to this issue?

  • The TXS is a passive switch; the low voltage level is determined only by the I²C device that is pulling the line low.

One way to lower I²C voltages is to use larger pull-up resistors. (The TXS already has internal pull-ups; external ones might not be needed at all.)

An I²C buffer like the TCA9800 would be able to output a voltage lower than its input voltage.
