I'm planning on using this IC for FSK demodulation. Can this work for FSK deviation of 328 KHz and 480 KHz? I sow in the datasheet offset frequency of 400 KHz does that means it's only can handle up to 400 KHz FSK deviation? And also the data rate would be 380 Kbps in other words the FSK rate of change between mark and space 380 KHz.
Please advice whether this IC can support this FSK system?
Is this SN74LV4046A chip better then this CD54HC4046A? or both have limitations?

Hi Muthu,
I believe 74LV and 54HC has similar performance as they came out pretty much at the same time. HC is a high-rel part, it is priced much higher than the LV part. If you do not need high-rel, select the LV part.
