I have a question in regards to the above PN and if part has been discontinued or remains active.
In my research between our two obsolescence database i find a discrepancy of the Year to End of Life (i.e. 15 yrs - 8.4 yrs; Active). In addition the obsolescence database(s) call out the commercial equivalent PN TLC139MFKB (i.e one database calls out as "obsolete" and the other with YTEOL: 15 yrs). TI website calls out the commercial equivalent as "Active", correct? Not residual stock but still being manufactured and supported?
A Product Discontinuance Notice was issued by Texas Instruments (PDN 20231024000.3 dated 24 October 2023) calling out the PN 5962-87659022A as being "Discontinued" and Recommended Replacement: PN 5962-9555001NXDR. The PDN called out the recommended PN as "Pin to Pin Match" - NO.
In reviewing TI website for PN 5962-87659022A the PN is called out as "Active". Is this MIL grade PN remaining active even though release of PDN for discontinuance; dated 24 Oct 23? Is the "Active" status on TI website just calling out "Residual stock"?
Question: Has there been since the original PDN addendum dated 24 Oct 23 an addendum rescinding original PDN and a continuance to manufacturer/support PN 5962-87659022A?
