Hi,

I have a square wave coming from a vehicle. It is 12V square wave with a 20% duty cycle. It frequency changes from 30 to 400Hz.
I need to filter out noise from the signal without introducing any delay.
Can someone help me with it plz?

Hi Ali,

This is more of a general electronics question.

Your simplest solution will be to add a capacitor from the input to GND to filter out the higher frequencies.

Otherwise, you can also construct a RC lowpass filter at the input as well.

I did that. it smooth out though but add some delay.
So i was wondering if some dedicated chip that do not add any delay in it.

Hi Ali,

Glad to here that somewhat solved your issues.

There isn't really a way for delay not to be added.

In addition, I would only assume rise/fall time would be slightly affected. What kind of delay are you seeing?
