TPLD1201: Can this device configure V to PWM and F to V converter?

Part Number: TPLD1201

Tool/software:

Hi support team all.

Can this device configure V to PWM and F to V converter?

The desired PWM carrier frequency is adjustable from 2k-25kHz, with a duty cycle of 0-100% and an amplitude of 0-5V. The input DC voltage is 0-5V.

Also, the F/V converter has F of 0-20kHz and V as a DC voltage of 0-5V.

Best regards

DH

  • Hi Daisuke,

This device will not be able to do a frequency to voltage conversion as the outputs are primarily going to be digital outputs (Either GND or VCC). There is one voltage reference analog output, but that would be locked into the predefined setup made when designing.

It's possible to do a voltage to PWM with some external components. This would essentially use the Voltage through the analog comparator to define the duty cycle. The issue with that is your PWM would be locked into one defined frequency. We would not be able to adjust the frequency dependent on input voltage.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

    I understand.

    Thanks.
