LSF0108-Q1: Max operation frequency of LSF0108QWRKSRQ1

Part Number: LSF0108-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello,

I'm evaluating the use of the LSF0108-Q1 level shifter for a 160 MHz QSPI interface.

The TI product page specifies a maximum frequency of 200 MHz, whereas the datasheet states a limit of 100 MHz.

Could you please clarify the discrepancy in supported frequency specifications and confirm whether the device can reliably operate at 160 MHz?

  • The LSF is a passive switch; high-level voltage are generated only by the pull-up resistors. So very high frequencies require extremely strong pull-up resistors (depending on the trace capacitance), which requires all devices to have a high drive strength. This is usually not the case for low-voltage QSPI devices, so it is unlikely that the LSF will work.

Please specify the models of all devices and their voltages.

  • Hey Nir,

Unfortunately, there isn't an immediate solution we can provide that will support the 160MHz signals. To better understand your application details, can you provide more info to Clemens' questions?

Please specify the models of all devices and their voltages.

    Regards,

    Jack
