SN74AC14: SN74AC14DR

Part Number: SN74AC14

Tool/software:

We're currently using your p/n SN74AC14DR purchsed from your TI web site for production. (Please see the attached COC, label, and chip photos.)

There're no issues with the previously purchased products, however, we're experiencing failures with the recently received products.
We conducted the SWAP Test, and only the components with the marking "52A25VM" are showing problems.

Contents of the question :
As seen in the attached waveform image, the yellow waveform represents the normal output, while the white waveform is from the components with the marking "52A25VM".
The waveform width should be around 2µs, but the new componets are showing approximately 1.6µs, which is lower than before.
It's a measurement result of the ground / pin 8.

And the IC marking (52A25VM) does not match the COC Lot trace code (4BC1H2I).
Is there a reason why the two are different?

We would appreciate your assistance in identifying the cause of this issue. Thank you.

  • The marking and the lot trace codes are different codes.

Please zoom in on one of these pulses, and measure the input voltages at which the output switches. Are these thresholds outside of the specified VT+/VT− ranges?
