Tape and reel packaging

Digital Logic devices available in tape and reel usually have an "R" or an "LE" following the package designator code. All new or changed devices in the DB and PW package types include the R designation for tape and reel product. Existing products designated as LE presently maintain that designation, but will be converted to R in the future.

To obtain information on a specific device, go to the product folder and click on Pricing/Availability. A list of orderable devices will be displayed. Orderable devices ending in "R" or "LE" are tape and reel. The quantity per reel is usually listed under Pack Qty.

  • Mike , I have an interesting question from a customer  , I thought you might be able to shed some light on it:( the question is related to SN74LVC1G00DBVR )

"My question is concerning the packaging ( packing )  components are supplied in.
Is there a documented specification which details the orientation of the parts in the surface mount pocket tape, that is to say the relative position of pin 1 of the devices to the sproket holes in the carrier tape?

I can't see a specification for this detail, and I am a little concerned that components may be supplied in different orientations.

I have given a TI part number of a part in question which we buy, there are however many other TI parts we use, could you point me to the specification sheets if they exist"

    Your input would be appreciated,

    Thanks and regards,

    Norbert
