I2C Level Translator-PCA9306

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCA9306, TXB0104

Hi All,

We are using PCA9306 I2C Level Translator for level translation from 1.8V to 3.3V, 1.8V is for the Processor side and on the 3.3V we are connecting a Touch controller which operates at 3.3V's and the problem we are facing is the communication fails, the sequence is like this, first after bootup it will work properly for few minutes or for few touchs later the SDA line damps or comes to Gnd level but the clock line(SCL) is still being high and the signal like Shutdown and interrupt from touch controller also works which are connected to processor though another level translator TXB0104.

And also the Iout mentioned in the Datasheet of PCA9306 is 100mA on 3.3V high voltage side does it really consumes that much of current or it means it can source that much of current.

waiting for your suggestions on this.

Thanks in advance,

Raghavendra
