SN54HC164: Classification per MIL-PRF-38535

Hello E2E Experts,

I am reaching out from Northrop Grumman. I have a question on the components: 8416201CA & 84162012A. I understand that they are on the QML-38535 line and are listed under the SMD drawing 5962-84162. The question is are both of these componets class 'M' per MIL-PRF-38535?

Hi,

These devices are Class Q which is a higher qualification than Class M.

Please see FAQ – DLA Standard Microcircuit Drawings (SMD) and JAN Part Numbers for more information. In particular, the excerpt from "One Part - One Part Number System" on page 2 explains how our devices can be Class Q, which also covers Class M.
